2015年４月25日にネパールを襲った大地震におきまして、亡くなられた方々にお悔やみ申し上げますとともに、被災された方々に心よりお見舞い申し上げます。
全日本ろうあ連盟では現在、ネパールろう連盟・関係者を通じて被災状況の調査を続けております。ネパールろう連盟とゴルカろう協会より被災状況の報告がありましたことをお知らせします。

6月に群馬県で開催されるろうあ者大会で6/14（日）にアジアコーナーを設置し、例年通りアジアろう児者友好プロジェクトの友の会募集をするとともに今年は大地震で被害を被ったネパールへの募金箱を設置する予定です。是非ともアジアコーナーにお越しいただきご協力いただけますようお願いいたします。

I am very happy seeing your email. We are also very sorry for the destruction of that earthquake which occured on 25th April 2015. Here all the deaf people in gorkha district are in right condition but they lost their lives. Till the date I found that about 11 deaf members from our goad has lost their lives and having staying outside using tents. We have been searching those deaf people who has been suffering from the massive earthquake.even they have not gotten good supports till date. The death Told reached more than 7 thousands including 400 people from gorkha. We have been trying to help the suffered deaf people but have not able to collect any supports to them. メールを読んで大変うれしく思います。2015年4月25日に起きた地震により多くが破壊され、大変悲しい思いです。ここゴルカ地区のろう者は全員無事ですが、住居を失いました。今のところ、私たち協会のろう会員約11名が屋外のテントで生活しています。
大地震で被災したろう者は、いまだに支援されていません。死者数は7000名以上に達し、内400名がゴルカの人間です。
被災したろう者を助けたいと思いますが、彼らのための支援を集めることができていません。何かご質問があれば、遠慮なくご連絡ください。必要なら詳しい情報を送ります。前向きな回答をお待ちしております。よろしくお願いいたします。

5月6日（水） ネパールろう連盟より
Thank you so much for sharing the grief of Nepalese people specially that of deaf people due to terrible earth quake. After the devastating earth quake it is taking time to resume normality. Still government is preparing the data of different categories of victims affected from earth quake and still there is no actual data. It’s a matter of relief that National Federation of the Deaf Nepal (NDFN) has not received any report that no deaf person have lost life due to earth quake. Some deaf people are wounded, deaf schools are damaged and many houses of deaf people are damaged. NDFN is preparing to take the data of those victims and making requests for the support with deaf friends around the world.
NDFN is so much thankful with JFD for your solidarity with the pain of deaf people of Nepal due to earth quake and concerns on the situation of deaf people. We will send you the updates in later days.
After earth quake we are trying to resume normal life and start our work.

今回の大地震による、ネパール国民の、特にろう者の悲しみを分かち合っていただき、本当にありがとうございます。壊滅的な地震の後、正常な状態に戻るまでに時間がかかっています。政府がいろいろな被災データを準備しています。
地震でなくなったろう者についての報告はありませんが、数人のろう者が負傷し、ろう学校は損壊し、多くのろう者の家屋が被害を蒙りました。ネパールろう連盟は、これらの被害についてデータを収集する準備を行っています。そして、世界中のろう者の友人に支援の要請を行う予定です。
ネパールろう連盟より、全日本ろうあ連盟が今回の地震でネパールのろう者の状況と痛みを懸念し連帯してくださっていることに御礼を申し上げます。最新の状況は、後日お知らせいたします。
地震の後は、生活の正常化に努め、仕事を開始いたします。
