WS1 Improving Working Environment - High school students and above
Deaf and hard of hearing persons often face a number of stumbling blocks in business environment, such as difficulties in making a phone call and visitor correspondence, and in finding interrelations between his/her own task and an entire business. What can you do to tackle these problems? Moderated by Mr. Kiyohiko Nagai (Executive Board, Saitama Welfare Association for the Deaf), participants will have a group discussion by analyzing some case studies and exploring how to enhance working environment for employees with hearing disabilities. Workers with hearing disabilities, employers of deaf and hard of hearing persons, job assistance personnel, and a wide range of interested audience are welcome.

WS2 Making Art with Your Hands (1) - Elementary school students and above
Shall we learn attractive expressions in sign language? Moderated by Mr. Kentaro Hayase (Director, Hayase Juku; filmmaker), Mr. Takashi Shozaki (Director, Office Kaze no Utsuwa) and Ms. Ayako Koizumi (Actor, Japanese Theatre of the Deaf) will be your guides to the rich and expressive world of sign language. Students of Tottori School for the Deaf High School Department, who have represented their hometown Tottori for 2015 Sign Language Performance Koshien Competition, will be on stage, to fascinate you for their sign language skit on high school baseball.

WS3 Call Now, Ring Now! - High school students and above
In this workshop, participants try relay service, a model project by Nippon Foundation, to discuss what we can do to advance the information environment where persons with hearing disabilities can make a phone call at any time. Coordinator of the discussion is Mr. Masayuki Inoue (Associate Professor, Tsukuba University of Technology), and panelists are Mr. Yoshihiro Ito (Chairman, Information Gap Buster Board) and Mr. Tadashi Takaoka (Counsel, All Japan Association of Hard of Hearing and Late-Deafened People).

WS4 Making Art with Your Hands (2)
Do you want to try signing in a more rhythmical and dynamic way? Led by sign performers, participants collaborate and use their entire body, into a new horizon of sign expressions. Students of Nara Prefectural School for the Deaf High School Department, winner of 2015 Sign Language Performance Koshien Competition, will stage their performance. Coordinator is Mr. Kentaro Hayase (Director, Hayase Juku; filmmaker).

WS5 University Classes: Together We Create - High school students and above
When a student with hearing disability wishes to ask an instructor for accommodation, how can he/she take action? Inviting Ms. Ayumi Yoshikawa (Representative Director, Kanto Support Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students) as Coordinator of this workshop, participants are encouraged to explore what the student, university faculty and staff, and people around them can do through role play- in the trend of reasonable accommodation. Ms. Mayumi Shirasawa (Associate Professor, Tsukuba University of Technology) will join us as Commentator. We welcome a wide range of participants- deaf and hard of hearing students, guardians, university faculty and staff, special education school instructors, and so forth.
