Deaf Programme Advisor (Trainee)
Deaf Development Programme in Cambodia
The Finnish Association of the Deaf and Maryknoll Cambodia welcome any interested Deaf people to apply for the position of Deaf Programme Advisor (Trainee) to work with the Deaf Development Programme in Cambodia. The Deaf Programme Advisor (Trainee) will receive further training for a period of 6 months by the Senior Deaf Programme Advisor to understand the scope of the living standards of deaf people in developing countries and how to prepare and conduct a various type of the training modules for the deaf community in Cambodia.

No face to face interviews will be conducted. You will be provided with written interview questions and you will answer the questions through a video. You will be required to use International Sign on the video.

It is important that we receive your interview video in Phnom Penh no later than Wednesday, 9th July, 2003. You will also need to provide your latest Curriculum Vitae and reference letters from 2 Deaf Community Leaders and 1 Nominated Referee to be included with the interviewed video tape.

The Finnish Association of the Deaf's International Development Co-operation Team will make the final decision for the position. If you are successful for the position, the Senior Deaf Programme Advisor will be in contact with the successful applicant in mid August 2003. The successful applicant will be expected to commence working with the Deaf Development Programme from November 2003 for a period of 6 months. At the end of the 6 month employment contract, there is a possibility that this position will continue, pending on funding decisions from the Finnish Association of the Deaf.
